Walter Bartoli - Bottega Bartoli Cornacchia, Brisighella - Flott tallerken "Våren" (53 cm) - Glassert keramikk

Work: "La Primavera", Plate, 1984 Material: Glazed ceramic A colours phantasmagoria showing a beauty which is ideal and real at the same time, a string of floral motifs, where the compositional game is the always amazing language of fresh poetry. A painting with bright, refined, intense and lively colours; these colours are only found in ceramic and are matched only after a meticulous and accurate study. A work created by the famous ceramicist and sculptor Walter Bartoli, born in 1934 in Brisighella. He was trained at the "G. Ballardini" Institute of Fine Arts in Faenza and was a pupil of Angelo Biancini. During his apprenticeship at the ceramic factory "Marmaca" in San Marino, he met Adelmo Cornacchia with whom he founded, in 1957, the ceramic manufacturer "Bartoli and Cornacchia", active in Brisighella. The first was a plasticizer, while the second (a disciple of Giuseppe Ugonia) was a decorator, both have marked with their works the recent ceramics history. Almost all the churches of Emilia-Romagna and beyond, host their creations, inspired in particular by sacred themes. Think, for instance, of the "Last Judgment" (1977), a majolica bas-relief composed of hundreds of tiles on a surface of over 150 square meters, in the church of San Lorenzo in Lugo. For the value of their art, which also includes furnishing ceramics, Bartoli and Cornacchia have been awarded the highest honour of the Lions club, the Melvin Jones Fellowship. This work does not need further introduction.
