Dalí created this monumental work in homage to painter Mark Rothko, from a digital interpretation of the face of Lincoln, obtained by American cybernetician Leon D. Harmon. Once more, Dali appears as an innovator and presents a novel double image concept. The face of Lincoln is repeated in a small format in the left lower part of the work, where the figure of Gala, in a different pose, is also repeated. In the upper part, in a magnificent twilight, Dalí references his famous Christ of Saint John of the Cross. It is on display in the Museum of Figueras, one of the most admired works there.
