Chalcopyrite is called "copper pyrite", a name that comes from the Greek "khalcos" copper and "pyros" fire or pyrite. The crystals are pseudo-tetrahedron, currently with coating of tetrahedrite or tennantite. Most of the time it is found in solid shape and the few times that you see the crystals they are very twinned and flattened.
