This unique watch is the only example of a quartz-regulated tuning fork watch that was ever produced. The Bulova Accuquartz from the 1970s has a steel case of 38 mm x 41 mm - measured without the original crown. It has a modest silver dial with striped indices and a day/date aperture at 3 o'clock. The steel Bulova strap is also original, it measures 22 mm at the lugs and it is integrated. It tapers to 16 mm at the folding clasp. The strap suits wrists of up to at least 18.5 cm. The movement is a tuning fork. Probably Bulova calibre 224. The watch runs neatly and on time. The date is reset using the crown, without pulling it out to position 1. The day is not set using the crown, but by calculating the date and then advancing the hands, so you reach the right day. Optically it is in neat, vintage condition - 8/10. It has few scratches, but the strap does have a lot of stretch. NO RESERVE! In short: a fairly rare quartz-driven tuning fork watch by the Swiss top brand Bulova! An accu-quartz...
