Sjelden Viennese Pendule med musikkboks, speil og gammel blomsterkunst - Askeskog med Alabaster-søyler - 1830
This Viennese mantel clock dates from ca. 1830 and has a well-maintained functioning movement with a complete and intact music box. For the melody to sound on the hour, one rope still has to be connected at the ends and hung from the right ring. The two songs of the music box are complete on the roll and therefore sound very beautiful. The two gong bars sound every fifteen minutes. The clock is in original condition and in working order.
The clock is not only unique for having a music box, but also because of the mirror that appears behind the image of dried flowers when the oval turns. The clock has some signs of wear because it is 190 years old, but these are actually special and attractive for this special piece.
Everything is well-maintained and comes with the 2 original keys, 1 for the music box and the other with two heads for the springs and the rope. The pendant, which has to be suspended from the rope movement, is original as well.
This special and rare piece is truly a feast for the eyes.
The clock will be packaged with the utmost are and sent by registered post.
