Very beautiful and rare solid silver pourer of the very famous Parisian Master Goldsmith Pierre Henry FAVIER (Registered in 1846)

Quadripod pourer with lion's foot in rocaille style, catch in form of a flower.
Very light play in the handle,a trace of tape to clean, micro scratches and tiny dents of wear.
Favier goldsmiths were famous manufacturers of silver ecclesiastical works such chalices, ciborium, monstrances, patens, cruets and trays. Their works can be found in several treasures of cathedrals. At least 179 works have been identified and protected as historical monuments.
The Favier deeply renewed religious gold-smithery, by drawing on medieval sources, then following the Symbolism and Art Nouveau movements.
