Oil on panel of the 18th century that represents the Virgin Mary as "divine shepherd" with St. John boy and two sheep. The Holy Spirit appears at the right in the form of a dove.
This type of iconography was born in Seville in 1703 by a vision of Friar Isidoro of Seville: "In the centre and under the shade of a tree, the Blessed Virgin is seated on a rock, radiating from her divine face love and tenderness. With a red robe, but the bust covered to the knees with pinched white and snug at the waist. A blue robe, crosswise to the left shoulder, will wrap the contour of his body, and to the right, on his back. He will wear the shepherd hat, and next to the right hand the staff of his power will appear..."
