Eket sun mask from Nigeria with typical polychrome aspects and a central face surrounded by triangular motifs. The Eket worship the sun and the moon. The round faces as masks are very characteristic of the ethnic group. Very refined, often decorated with geometric motifs (triangles, semicircles).
The Eket Sculpture is recognizable by their decorative patterns and repetition of forms. This mask was worn on top of the head.
