Ralph Gout was originally from Switzerland.
He was a major watchmaker in London around the year 1770.
From 1770 to 1800 he was resident in London.
Rare powerful spindle clock in triple case made for the Ottoman market.
62mm diameter. Height 35 mm - weight 134 g
Unusual collector's watch.
1 outer casing with shielded backside. Very good condition. Beaten silver nails as an ornament.
Pendant opening decorated.
2 silver over casings with wonderful ornamental lines.
3 watch case silver smooth - spherical.
Enamel dial with Ottoman numbers in black.
Exterior Ottoman markers.
Baroque watch-fine dial in very good condition.

Wind at the back.
Unlocking mechanism to access the movement on the dial at 6 o'clock.
Very delicate and playful clockwork. Fully engraved plating. Round spindle with playful representation, central flower.
Silver disc for speed adjustment. Decorative gold pillar and ornaments. Ottoman movement signature.
Factory working - winding key available.
Heavy silver pendant (short chatelaine)
