Rare loose cushion armchairs Model EA 178 designed by Charles Eames in 1971. Original brown upholstery and a black polyester shell and aluminium base. Manufactured by Vitra . Herman Miller.
Introduced in 1971, the Eames Office developed a new upholstery technique for this new sculptural shape. It has formed-in-place urethane foam filling. The loose cushion makes the chair super comfortable and nice to sit.
One of the armchairs has damage of the fabric, on top of the backrest.
Apart from that both chairs are in excellent condition.
